CMDA IT Expo 2008: Working to make IT succeed Venue: Engineering College Ground, Pune Date: 4th-7th December 2008

CMDA & Sakaal Media Group have joined hands together to hold 11th IT Mega show of the year “IT Expo 2008”. It is the only official mega event of IT Products in Pune. Computers & Media Dealers Association (CMDA), Pune is one of the strongest IT trade associations in India controlling almost 90% of IT trade in the city. In fact CMDA, Pune is rated No.2 association in India. IT EXPO provides a unique platform for vendors, manufactures & importers to showcase entire range of products. Customers get an opportunity to touch and feel latest IT gadgets. And this year they have joined hands with Sakaal Media Group. This Group is a pioneer in Paper and Media Industry. Highlights: TVS Electronics participated in this event in collaboration with Go Frugal, our Retail Solution Partner. This event witnessed a huge response for label printers and Mascot as usual was an instant success. The four day event was an excellent opportunity to show case our latest launch including our programmable keyboards and new range of scanners.

AHAR 2008 Venue: Bunter Bhavan, Kurla East, Mumbai Date: 10th December 2008

Indian Hotel & Restaurant Association (AHAR) the premier association of Hotels and Restaurants held its 29th Annual General Body Meeting on the 10th of December 2008 at Bunter Bhavan, Chunnabhatti, Kurla East, Mumbai. AHAR currently has a Membership strength of about 6500 Hotel & Restaurant Owners belonging to the Greater Mumbai and rest of Maharashtra. An opportunity is extended to suppliers of Hotels & Restaurants in the form of an Exhibition to meet the prospective clients and network for business opportunity. TVS Electronics (TVSE) participated in this One-day Exhibition to showcase its value-added portfolio of POS peripherals i.e., Thermal & Dot Matrix Printers and Electronic Cash Register. Highlights: There were in all 44 Exhibitors besides TVSE on the Technology domain including Bill Maker, Angelsoft Technologies, WEP Peripherals, Multisoft Technologies, Menson Technologies and Excel Systems and Solutions. Other prominent Exhibitors were Hindustan Uniliver, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Godrej Tyson Foods, Metro Cash & Carry, Janta Steels, Raunak Kitchen Equipments, Girnar Tea and Cloud 9 who sponsored the event.  The objective of creating focused visibility and awareness to the target segment was well achieved with a good number of prospects walking into the stall. The Mumbai POS Team comprising Anand Singh, Jignesh, Thomas Anandam, Ganesh Venugopal and Ram Ramachandran represented TVSE POS at AHAR 2008.

Kanpur Dipawali Bazar 2008 Venue: Moti Mahal Lawn, Kanpur Date: 17th-20th October 2008

Kanpur Diwali Bazar is the one of the biggest exhibitions the northern part of India witnesses every year. This exhibition is primarily meant for consumer goods. To attack more crowds it is strategically set up just before Diwali. More than 20,000 ~25,000 footfalls were seen every day! TVS Electronics participated in this event in collaboration with ACP Distributors, Mr. Yogesh Agarwal. This event witnessed a huge response for label printers and Mascot as usual was an instant success. Highlights: The three day event was an excellent opportunity for all the upcountry consumers to thoroughly enjoy the event. Other exhibitors included, HCL, Epson & Wipro.

India Retail Forum 2008 Venue: The Renaissance, Mumbai Date: 16th-18th September 2008

IRF was a host to the widest spectrum of the retailing industry where besides top retailers across segments and real estate developer, heads of Indian enterprises and also Indian and MNC FMCG giants were present. With a host of events under its umbrella (including Asia Shop, Retail Concepts, Brand Show, The Future Shop, L Cube, Retail Access, Retail Theatre, The Evening of Retail Titans, Breakfast/ Tea Talk Shows, Lunch Discussions, Networking Cocktails, Gala Dinners & Celebrations etc.) IRF culminated in the glittering Images Retail Awards ceremony to honor excellence in the business of retail. Highlights: The three day event was an excellent opportunity for our international guests to get a feel of Indian retailing. This was one opportunity for TVS POS to display the best in class products and attract the biggies of the retail industry. TVS Electronics displayed its latest launch, the integrated POS terminal for the 1st time ever along with other POS peripherals & accessories which was a run away success. Other exhibitors included, HCL Epson, Bixcolon & Posiflex.

Chennai Hotel Association Meet 2008, Venue: Woodlands Hotel, Chennai, Date: 26th August 2008.

Chennai Hotel Association Meet 2008 is 1st meet TVS Electronics had participated in collaboration with a hotel association. This exhibition was specifically meant only for the association members and was not as commercial as the other expos. The target segment was the hotel owners and TVS Mascot [Electronic Cash Register] was a hit again! Highlights: Overall, the response was overwhelming and other hardware vendors in the event included Essae Technologies & Tyche Peripherals. Other exhibitors included, HCL Epson, Bixcolon & Posiflex.

Computex Exhibition 2008 Venue: Ice Skating Ring, Salt Lake, Kolkata Date: 22nd-25th August 2008

Computex Exhibition served as great platform for TVS POS launch. Visitors represented a wide spectrum of industries including manufacturing, finance, architects & interior designers, IT, government, education, entertainment, health care, advertising and human resources, to name a few. Highlights: The exhibition was located strategically at the Salt Lake City in Calcutta - one of the emerging business and technology hubs in India.

Hotel & Restaurant Tech 2008, International Hotel & Restaurant Technology Exhibition Venue: Chennai Trade Centre, Chennai Date: 7th-9th August 2008

More than 150 high profile exhibitors across the globe and over 4000 key visitors were present at H&RT 2008. This is one exhibition that brings together raw material producers, consumables and equipment suppliers, end-users and the Industry at large under one roof to provide for a comprehensive insight of technology and markets. Highlights: TVS Electronics participated in this event in collaboration with Pathfinder Software Solutions Pvt. Ltd. Pathfinder had displayed Xtreme- Hash House, their latest POS software module. This event witnessed a huge response since the customer was shown a single point solution in terms of software + hardware. Overall the response was positive and fruitful.

Office Expo 2008, The complete workplace solutions Expo Venue: Pragati Maidan Exhibition Centre, New Delhi Date: 2nd-4th August 2008

TVS-E participated in Office Expo 2008, held at Pragati Maidan Delhi from the 2nd - 4th August. Participation was great and hit a record high of nearly 27,000 registered visitors. Office Expo offers a unique opportunity to interact with the administrative professionals who influence and make purchasing decisions in their workplace worldwide. Directors/managers of medium to small businesses, as well as HR teams, administrators, department heads, purchasing officers, office and procurement managers of large enterprises responsible for the office environment in their workplace were there. Highlights: The event witnessed participation from leading companies in office automation products space. Our stall witnessed close to 400+ footfalls from end customers & partners. Other printing vendors in event are Epson, Web Solutions Ltd (Print Services) , Xerox , HP & Kyocera.

Hotel Tech 2008, Kerala Exhibition, Kerala Venue: Rajiv Gandhi Indore Stadium, Cochin Date: May 30th - June 01st, 2008

Hotel Tech 2008 is a leading exhibition focused on technology, equipments as well as services for hotels, restaurants, resorts, bakery and the catering sector. This was the 1st regional exhibition TVS Electronics POS division participated, apart from the national level events. The event was very specific to the hotel & restaurant vertical and the response received for TVS Mascot (Electronic Cash Register) was enormous. This event also served as the launch pad for TVS POS in Kerala. Highlights: Overall, the response was overwhelming and Hotel tech 08 is one of the best exhibitions attended so far in terms of customer response and brand awareness.

ReTechCon 2008, RAI - NASSCOM 4th Annual Retail Technology Conclave Venue: Hyderabad International Convention Centre (HICC), Hyderabad Date: 5th - 7th May 2008

Retailers Association of India (RAI), the unified voice of modern Indian Retailers, always strives to bring best practices to the retail industry and its stakeholders. Given the current boom in Indian Retail Industry, this is the right platform for retailers to interface with retail technology vendors/service providers, because technology today is one of the biggest growth drivers for retailers. Highlights: TVS Electronics took the opportunity of participating in this exhibition and displaying the complete range of products from POS peripherals to POS accessories. TVS-E stall attracted enormous participation from the visitors and the exhibitors and this was one of the most successful events till date.

INFOCOM 07-08, Calcutta (Feb 21st - 24th) Venue: Salt Lake Stadium grounds, Calcutta Date: February 21-24, 2008

India is witnessing an unprecedented growth in its economy, primarily driven by the fast growing service sectors like Information and Communication Technology (ICT).  TVS Electronics is privileged to be a part of INFOCOM, India's largest ICT conference and exhibition. This exhibition brought together some of the best global minds in hardware, software, telecom together with the experts on the business side and policy makers to brainstorm, showcase, network, brand-build and prepare for the best that is still to come. Highlights: The exhibition was located strategically at the Salt Lake City in Calcutta - one of the emerging business and technology hubs in India. Visitors were mainly buyers, sellers, decision makers, and influencers from top-ranking companies across the country & abroad. TVS Electronics exhibited the entire POS range including the thermal and label printers, the latest additions to the lot. Thermal printer, Jus' Print R6 was an instant hit with the dealers while the Wi-Fi keyboards were the center of attraction. Other exhibitors included Logitech, SAP, Palas, Brethren Infotech, Gobbler, Su-Kam, Godrej Interiors, Wipro, SBI, Indian Airlines, Busy Infotech and others.

Asia Retail Congress Venue: Taj Lands End, Mumbai Date: January 10-11, 2008

In continuation with our launch of the new retail range last year, we participated in the Asia Retail Congress at Mumbai from 10th - 11th January’08. This mega retail meet was organized at Taj Lands End, Bandra (west),Mumbai.  The event’s main sponsor was Indira Group of Institutes, Pune in partnership with Vodafone, Sun Microsystems and ICICI Venture while the media partners were CNBC TV 18, Media4 Exchange, Retail Biz and others. TVS-E stall attracted enormous participation from the visitors and the exhibitors. The change of identity from a dot matrix printer company to a company offering POS solutions came as surprise to the customers and many were very keen in knowing about our new offerings.  Other exhibitors include Reid & Taylor Suiting & Shirting, HCL Digilife, The Mobile Store, Vodafone Essar, SAP, Vinculum Solutions apart from TVS Electronics. Bandra being an extremely posh locality and the event being organized in Taj restricted the visitors were restricted to only the delegates who were invited and few select customers who attended the conference. The overall feedback from the visitors was positive and the trip on the whole was eventful.

December 2007

TVS Electronics surfaced at Mumbai’s COM-IT Expo 2007, from 7th to 10th Dec at the city’s posh Bandra Kurla Complex. TVS-E stall attracted tremendous participation from exhibitors and visitors alike.

This event was by far the most rewarding of them all for TVS-E. Mascot, the cash register particularly went down very well with dealers and customers alike. The number of leads reached unmanageable proportions. Jus’ Bill also piqued curiosity aplenty and we exhibitors started receiving calls for orders even before the event was over!

Our other exhibits included barcode scanners, pole display stand, thermal printers, the MSP series printers and Pro VX 3810.

November 2007

In continuation with our launch of the new retail range, we participated in the InfoCom trade fair at Hyderabad from 28th Nov to 1st Dec.

InfoCom is an event organized in Calcutta every year, and for the first time this year it was held in Hyderabad. Among POS hardware manufacturers and dealers, Taiwan-based companies Tysso and OneTouch Technologies, Hyderabad-based VisionTek and Mumbai-based Lipi Data Systems were the participants apart from TVS Electronics.

Among POS software developers, there was participation from Idea Entity, Wings Infonet, Noah Solutions, Versant Technologies, SAT Infotech and Drishti Systems Pvt Ltd, among others. The overall feedback was positive and the visit, one the whole, fruitful.

September 2007

2007 is the year of TVS-E’s retail initiative. In view of this, we decided to participate in the India Retail Forum (IRF) held in Mumbai from 4th-6th September. Organised by Images Multimedia, a Delhi-based firm, the IRF was essentially a retail technology fair.

Our exhibits included the 80-column Pro Series printers, Electronic Cash register - Mascot, a thermal mini printer - Smart, wireless thermal printers, mini printers and mechanical membrane & multimedia keyboards. The response was by and large favourable, with over 800 visits at the TVS-E stall on each of the 3 days. From software developers to trading firms to retailers, the stall attracted massive attention.
