TVS-E launches 'GENUINE FOR SURE' as an umbrella brand |

Chennai, Sept 15th 2004: TVS Electronics
Limited, leaders in IT peripherals, announced
'Genuine For Sure' program today, the 15th
September 2004 across the country.
Genuine for Sure is a large branding exercise by
TVS Electronics to educate about genuine
supplies and eventually extend this to
communicate "genuineness" in thought and action
on all the products to its customers.
The printing supplies market is plagued by
piracy and fakes which is a big problem for all
printer OEMs, because it affects the performance
of the products and also takes away bulk of the
revenues. TVS-E starts a nationwide campaign to
take the problem to its root, to communicate and
educate the customer on piracy and also initiate
legal action on counterfeiters.
TVS-E has engaged the services of Mumbai-based
Enforcement of Intellectual Property Rights (EIPR),
a leading anti-counterfeiting agency to help its
anti-piracy drive. The Genuine For Sure campaign
also includes the introduction of a world-class
contemporary packaging with RFID tags, as a
major differentiator for its products in the
market. This will the first-of-its-kind for any
hi-tech company in India.
According to Mr. S.Narendran, GM Marketing,
TVS-E, 'Genuine for Sure' campaign will soon
become our umbrella brand as it communicates the
very value it stands for. We'll extend this to
all Printing Supplies soon, and eventually, to
other product lines."
As per Mr. R.Jaishankar, Business Development
Manager, Supplies, "TVS-E's marketing efforts
will be supplemented through its 20-seat call
center equipped to provide support to customers
and channel partners. Customers can also place
orders under the Dial-a-Head program and TVS-E
has in place a well-laid CRM solution for
effective lead management."
With this TVS-E plans to substantially increase
its current market share from 10% to 50% in the
Printing Supplies business, which is estimated
at Rs 100 crores today. |
