TVS-E Q2 Revenues grows 20%, Printers consolidates market leadership |

Chennai, October 26th 2005: TVS Electronics
Limited announced the results for the quarter
ended Sept 30th 2005 today. The company has
reported revenue of Rs.70.26Crs for this period
as against revenue of Rs.58.40 Crs in the
coresponding quarter in 2004.
The company also reported a PAT of Rs.47Lacs in
this period as against Rs.36Lacs reported during
the previous period
TVS-E consolidates its leadership position in
Dot Matrix Printers in JAS Quarter with a market
share to 42%. The printers business witnessed
major growth as the overall shipments during the
quarter grew by 47% with the significant
contribution from Proton. Major orders won
during this quarter include LIC, State Bank of
India, Chattisgarh schools among others.
The keyboards business had an excellent quarter
with delivering a volume in excess of 110,000
units, representing a growth of over 80%. The
recently launched TVS Champ, the new membrane
keyboard received wide acceptance in the market.
TVS-E was ranked third among the IT brands in
India by PC quest, moving up five positions over
the previous year.
The company has also shipped over 30200 Set Top
boxes during this quarter which is over 100%
growth over the previous quarter for both cable
and satellite customers.

Srinivasan, Director TVS Electronics Limited
said “The company’s efforts towards revenue
growth has started showing results with
contribution coming significantly from Printers,
Keyboards and Digital Home access products. With
the growth anticipated by the IT industry we are
gearing up for adding up more products to our
