Corporate social responsibility (CSR) is all about a
company knowing, managing, improving and being a
responsible citizen towards the community,
environment and society.
TVS Electronics Ltd (TVS-E), the IT arm of the $2
Billion TVS Group, with its philosophy of ‘Trust,
Value and Service’ and its commitment to its people,
is showing the world, the group's concern for the
development and welfare of its employees and the
neighboring community. Be it providing drinking
water to villages, to setting up schools and
hospitals, TVS-E contributes actively to the
development of local communities.
From the time of its inception in 1986, TVS-E on an
average has set apart a sizable amount annually
towards CSR initiatives. Projects are chosen
depending on various parameters such as their
logistical feasibility, the need of the hour,
government procedures, etc.
As part of our community services initiatives a
concept forum of enthusiastic volunteers named ARPAN,
which gives an ample chance to our employees to
volunteer for social causes, is being initiated.
ARPAN has many windows to expose the members to a
wide array of social engineering activities through
TEAM concept wherein they ought to pledge their
dedicated energy, mind and time for the benefit of
the society they are living in. |
